SUMATRAN SURF CHARTERS

In June 2009 Basilea will venture from West Coast Of Thailand and sail 250Km to the most western shore of Sumatra. This area is one of the most remote surf destinations in the world! Some of you might have heard of Banda Arche, the place where the Tsunami caused the worst devastation. This region borders some of the deepest trenches in the world which create world class surf, places such as Nias. Our goal is to seek out new un-discovered surf breaks, to boldly go where no man has gone before!

The photos below are just a small example of what we have experienced whilst surfing this region. You are welcome to join us on any adventure traveling east along the Sumatran Coast, the Mentawis, Java or taking in Bali.  Venturing east to Sumba Sava & Roti would be an extension of the adventure.  

It is our intention to offer quality sailing, kiting & surfing charters on our very comfortable yacht Basilea. We offer surf photography, diving, fishing and whatever else takes your fancy. Women are welcome so bring your partners. This charter is not like the traditional charters offered in the region. It is an expedition into the unknown in style and comfort on our luxury yacht Basilea!
